The City of Carbondale provides weekly curbside collection of residential refuse and recyclables to residents in all neighborhoods within Carbondale's City limits. This service is provided for a nominal monthly fee by Carbondale's Refuse and Recycling Division. Current customers may call the Maintenance and Environmental Services Division Office at 618-457-3275 to make inquiries about route scheduling and collection services such as:

• Refuse (garbage)
• Recyclables
• Landscape (yard) waste
• Vehicle tires
• White goods (household appliances)
• Special pickups

If you wish to arrange for regular refuse and recycling services or have a concern about your billing, you may stop by City Hall at 200 South Illinois Avenue and visit the Finance Department's Revenue Division Office or call 618-549-5302 and ask for the Revenue Division.

Holiday Refuse & Recycling Collection

Refuse and Recycling will not be collected on the following City of Carbondale observed Holidays. Call 618-457-3275 to find out if your collection schedule will be altered during the holiday week or click on the Holiday Refuse and Recycling Schedules below. The Observed Holidays are as follows:
