Fully Automated Refuse Collection Begins January 20, 2020

Refuse Changes Final 10-31-19

Beginning on December 16, 2019 new guidelines will need to be followed for refuse collection as fully automated collection service will begin on January 20, 2020:

  • All refuse must be contained completely inside cart(s) provided by the City with the lid(s) closed (no bags on top or other items set out next to the carts)
  • Carts must be placed on level ground and at least three (3) feet from all obstructions including: parked cars, mailboxes, sign posts, utility poles, etc.
  • The wheels of the cart must face the curb (refer to the direction on the cart lid)
  • Make sure carts are a minimum of one foot (1’) apart from each other as shown below
