Beginning on December 16, 2019 new guidelines will need to be followed for refuse collection as fully automated collection service will begin on January 20, 2020:
- All refuse must be contained completely inside cart(s) provided by the City with the lid(s) closed (no bags on top or other items set out next to the carts)
- Carts must be placed on level ground and at least three (3) feet from all obstructions including: parked cars, mailboxes, sign posts, utility poles, etc.
- The wheels of the cart must face the curb (refer to the direction on the cart lid)
- Make sure carts are a minimum of one foot (1’) apart from each other as shown below
Other Landscape Waste and Refuse Collection Information:
- Due to the automated collection process extra volume refuse (items that do not fit in your cart) and bulk/large items will be collected once per week on a call-in fee basis
- Extra volume refuse and bulk/large items will not be collected on Holiday weeks
- Landscape waste will be collected one day per week, through the City’s bag and bundle sticker collection program
